Let us first look at the properties of these different salts.
According to Ayurveda, salt made from sea water has the lowest properties. Rock (Sandhav) and black salt are the best. Everything that nature has done is accurate and useful. Rock (Sandhav) and black salt provide 94 nutrients to the body. Iodized salt provides only 3 types of nutrients.

What happens if you eat salt with curd and milk?
Many people take milk and milk products in their meals. They also eat salty foods along with tea and coffee mixed with milk. Eating iodized salt with milk and curd causes many diseases. If Rock (Sandhav) salt is eaten with curd and milk, the defects in the body do not increase. When eating curd, you must mix Rock (Sandhav) / black salt in it, the acidity of the curd is not affected because of this. A small amount of salt is added to the milk and dairy products to enhance the taste. If you want to eat such sweet and savoury food, you should eat it with Rock (Sandhav) / black salt. E.g. carrots pudding, rice pudding, semolina pudding etc.
Adding iodine-salt to the curd kills all the necessary bacteria in the curd. But, if Rock (Sandhav) / black salt are added, not a single bacterium dies. For this, add Rock (Sandhav) / black salt while eating curd and curd mixed products.
How did sea salt come to India?
Sea salt is not useful for our food but it is used for industrial plants.
Until 1930, no one in India used to eat sea salt. Rock (Sandhav) / black salt were used in the diet. There are some natural lakes near Rajasthan (eg Sambar Sarovar). The salt formed from its water is the best salt. Rock (Sandhav) / black salt / sambar salt was used till 1930. After Gandhiji’s salt march (Satyagraha of salt), sea salt came into use. There are salt hills in Karachi, Lahore area of Pakistan. India was partitioned in 1947. It became impossible to get Rock (Sandhav) and black salt from there, after partition. From then on, sea salt was used compulsorily.
The use of sea salt in India started and local and foreign companies started thinking of their own benefits and the concept of iodized salt was introduced.
