In our daily lives, we know that the opposite things mean the things that don’t go together. The same applies to the diet. In Ayurveda, it is called Viruddha Ahaara.

Virudha Ahara means
Eating two or more foods with opposite qualities and temperaments, at the same time
Or
Just one after another
Also, even if sometimes two substances with similar properties come together, the substance formed from their combination is harmful to the body. So the combination of such two substances is also called opposite diet.
Such as – milk and banana shake.
Milk and bananas have a sweet taste, they create coolness in the body and after their digestion, sweet juice is formed in the body. Both milk and banana are good for the body.
Eating one of them at a time creates energy in the body. But when these two substances come together, that is, when milk and banana are eaten together, a sticky, gluey substance is formed.
This substance is difficult to digest and creates defects in the body. Therefore, in Ayurveda, this combination is considered to be the opposite. And so should be avoided. It is also wrong to eat other sweet fruits along with milk.
