The baby undergoes changes in all seasons until the age of one year. Complaints of indigestion, upset stomach, worms, cold-cough, fever, toothache are common in children. Many of these minor complaints can be cured at home with use of Balguti.

Constipation –

Baby should pass the stool properly every day, it will improve the metabolism of baby. If baby doesn’t pass stool for more than two days, or has difficulty while passing the stool, passes hard stool, in this case, a mixture of Hirda, Ginger and Jesthamadh can be given by rubbing these on sandstone. Or gently massage few drops of castor oil on and around the abdomen of baby, this makes abdomen soft and baby can pass the stool easily.

Indigestion –

Indigestion causes gasses. The baby cries with folding his/her legs. In this case, a mix paste of Sagargota, Ginger, Ativisha, Balhirda, Nagarmotha can be given to baby. Sagargota is Digestive and stomach pain reliever; Ginger improves digestion; Balhirada keeps the stomach clean and Nagarmotha is sedative

Diarrhea, irritable bowel

In children with these symptoms, Kuda, nutmeg, Murudsheng, Maifal, Ativisha, Nagarmotha should be taken together and given in the morning, afternoon and evening to reduce pain and proper stool consistency.

Worms –

When baby has worm infection, it causes itching around anus area, sometime baby tries to scratch around that area, sometimes worms are present in stool, and food is not absorbed properly by body. In this case, Vekhand, Dikamali, Ativisha, Balhirda should given by rubbing on sandstone with carom seed water. This kills the worms and nourishes the baby.

Teething –

while teething process, gums turn red, uncomfortable feeling around gums, baby chews hard on gums, baby cries. In this case a paste of Dikamali can be applied to gums with mixing it in honey.

Fever –

This is very common and frequent in young children. Ativisha, Nagarmotha, Kakadshingi are used as child rejuvenation in fever. At the same time, giving ginger and pippali gives very good benefits.

Allergies –

As the baby is exposed to all the new things, the baby may get allergies from certain things and may get bile, bloating, itching and acne on the body. In this case, give paste of Nagarmotha and dried turmeric to lick for three or four times to reduce the allergy symptoms.

Dry cough –

This cough occurs especially at night. There is no phlegm or mucus while coughing, only repetitive dry whooping cough. In this case, give paste of Behda and Jeshthamadha with honey to lick.

Colds –

If baby has any symptoms like runny nose, stuffy nose, heaviness of head, fullness of chest, coughing sound, paste of Ginger, Pippali, Vekhand, Licorice, Kakadshingi with hony honey can be given in the morning, afternoon and evening. This reduces colds, coughs and colds and relaxes the chest. A hot pack made up of hot cloth can be used on Chest, back, nose and sinuses to get relief from cold.

Sore Throat –

In case of sore throat, redness, hoarseness, difficulty in swallowing, swelling of the tongue, give a paste of Vekhand, Halkund, Behda, Jesthamadh and Kakadshingi in honey to lick in the morning and evening. This clears the throat and makes the voice clear. In this way, the Balguti is the boon for the mother, which helps to avoid frequent visits to the hospital and to keep the baby healthy and well developed.
