Vata … a word that we have heard many times about the body. We heard many medical terms like flatulence, shortness of breath, paralysis, arthritis etc. in relation with Vata.So where exactly is this Vata in body?
The work of Vata, Pitta and Kapha is important in the body because without this vata, the Kapha and Pitta cannot do anything because Vata is the main cause of moving them from one place to another in the body. All the movements that take place in the body are in this atmosphere.

Where does the body has Vata?Heartbeat, the movements of the lungs, the action of excretion, all the movements in the body, the blinking of the eyelids are due to Vata, these are the visible form of Vata.
But many innumerable unseen and unseen movements are taking place in the body because of Vata. Let’s take an example, the atmosphere contains air. But we only understand when the wind blows, other times we cannot see air, though it is present everywhere.
In summer the same wind stays hot, in rainy season the same wind stays cold but it is accompanied by moisture and in cold weather it is cold but with dryness.
The wind is the same, but it changes with the seasons. If we say nature and body as one, then it must be same in the body. As the environment changes, atmospheric air affects the body and the body Vata adjusts itself accordingly.
People who have a slight deterioration in the function of the Vata in their body, when they see such an illness, we call it a viral infection in modern language. This is a brief example of the effects of climate change on the body.
Nature is different in different places, somewhere it is summer, somewhere it is rainy, somewhere it is cold. In some places the atmosphere is the same for twelve months.
The atmosphere is moist near river, somewhere it is dry, where there is a furnace, there is hot, just like this, there are different kinds of atmosphere in different places in the body. When you breathe in, you will notice that the air you are expelling is hot.
Urine is also hot. The skin plays a very important role in keeping the body temperature low and high depending on the environment. Blood temperature is neutral between both hot and cold. Vata is very important in all these places.
Just like in any organisation there are different types of departments and sub departments, likewise Vata in the body has five divisions. These five Vata sections together run the body’s Vata system. We will see what the sections are in the next article.
